Transform your basement, attic or other living space into an accessory dwelling unit.

Attached ADU:

Can be a converted garage or new build that’s attached to the main house.

Detached ADU:

A separate standalone unit that is not attached to the main house. Perfect for properties with larger backyards.

Garage conversions:

Turn your garage into a living space. Learn more about Built Well’s Garage Conversion service.

Over-garage ADU:

Don’t want to lose your garage storage? We get it. Utilize the space over your garage to build an accessory dwelling unit.

What are ADUs?

An accessory dwelling unit, usually just called an ADU, is a secondary housing unit on a single-family residential lot. An ADU usually has its own kitchen, living area, and separate entrance. An ADU may be attached to a house or garage, or it can be built as a stand-alone unit, but it generally will make use of the water and energy connections of the primary house.
